Our Story

 Harold Seltzer, born and raised in Montreal has been in Tampa for more than 20 years, most of those years as a very successful restaurateur. His name rings a bell probably because of his signature steakhouses, “Harold Seltzer’s Steakhouse” in St Pete on Tyrone Blvd and also in Port Richey at the Gulfview Mall as well as a brand new location on Gulf to Bay Blvd in Clearwater. 

Harold has brought his attention to detail and demand for the highest quality to the Floridian and with multiple awards including the Best Cuban Sandwich in America, Best of the Best by The Tampa Bay Times multiple years, it’s no dispute that he’s been a success and brought tremendous quality and value to all of his restaurants.

The Floridian makes a wide variety of sandwiches in addition to the award-winning Cubano. The turkey sandwich was declared the “Best Turkey Sandwich in Tampa” by Creative Loafing and every year ranks in Tampa’s Top 50 Restaurants as well.

Located in the heart of Tampa on Kennedy Blvd for breakfast lunch and dinner there is no reason to look for a REAL Cuban sandwich anywhere else when the best is right here. The breakfast sandwich is excellent as well.
